CURA Adjust-A-Web

Adjustable Top Clip & Top Member Assembly

16 Ga. Top Clip (TC)

The standard 16 Ga. Top Clip (TC) provides a height adjustability of +/- 3" while aligning the Top Member to the new slope and transferring the structural load between the Top Member and the Vertical Web Member. This Top clip is used whenever the roof height exceeds about 16" plus the height of the bottom member. It is self aligning on the vertical member and is shaped to place the top flange of the top member in the plane of the new roof.

16 Ga. Short Top Clip (TCS)The 16 Ga. Short Top Clip (TCS) provides a height adjustability of +/- 2" while aligning the Top Member to the new slope and transferring the structural load between the Top Member and the Vertical Web Member. This Top Clip is used when the row height is constricted and for other special applications. It also self aligns on the vertical member and is shaped to place the top flange of the top member in the plane of the new roof.

Top Member

The Top Member (TM) is typically a rollformed ZEE shape made from a minimum of 16 Ga. 55 KSI steel. The TM runs "unbroken" for up to 150'-0". TM is generally shipped in a maximum of 30'-0" lengths (for ease of handling). And is lapped at the end of each length of material to provide structural continuity. The location of the laps relative to the vertical member is not important unless specifically indicated otherwise on ReRoof America, Inc.' s drawings.

Top Member

When the Top Member run is greater than 150'-0" or there is an existing expansion joint in the existing structure, an expansion joint splice (EJS) is required. This will allow for thermal expansion and contraction without detrimental affects on the system.
